The reformation of ‘Able Magwitch’ has brought together again three members from one of Brisbane’s top bands of the seventies.  After parting ways more that 25 years ago, Lance Hayward (Lead Vocals/Percussion), Dave Bourke (Keyboards/Vocals) and Graham Garrett (Drums/Percussion) have rekindled their friendship and the musical magic.

In the 70’s, 'Able Magwitch' gained popularity playing at many clubs and other venues in Brisbane and many towns in the south-east corner of Queensland.  In 1975 'Able Magwitch' won third place in the '4IP/Colonials Queensland Rock Quest' battle of the bands.  Their popularity spread to the rest of the state when, in 1976, they were asked to be the support band on the 'Get Rocked' tour around Queensland by Aussie super group 'Hush'.  ‘Able Magwitch’ was the support act to many International and Australian artists, Paul McCartney & Wings, Status Quo, Blondie, AC/DC, The Little River Band, and Skyhooks  to name a few.  Lance was nominated several times in the ‘Best Male Vocalist’ section of the Queensland Pop Awards. 

Now, these fine musos (though some are a little rounder and some have a little less hair) have joined with a couple of new kids on the block, Gary Allen (Lead Guitar/Vocals) and Michael Coppin (Bass Guitar/Vocals).  Together they have recreated the great ‘Able Magwitch’ sound and will turn the clock back and perform LIVE many classic hits to have you ‘Living in the 70’s’ again.
