Lance - Vocals/Percussion
Lance's singing career began in 1971 when, after being transferred with his work to Mackay, he met the guys in a band called 'Powerhouse'. He became an unofficial roadie until one day the singer didn't show up for practice. Lance was asked if he new the words to Paranoid by Black Sabbath and if he would like to 'have a go' at singing it. Well, he 'had a go' and that was it, he found himself the new lead singer of 'Powerhouse' which went on to become one of the most popular bands in the Mackay area. Lance returned to Brisbane late 1972 and, after a few short stints with other bands, joined 'Able Magwitch' in 1975. His powerful voice helped make the band the success that it was until the end of 1980 when 'Able Magwitch' called it a day. After ‘Able Magwitch’ folded, Lance helped form the very popular pub band ‘Freelance’ performing around the clubs and pubs of Brisbane for about two years. He then retired for a while to raise a family and the only singing he did was in the shower. In 1992 Lance joined the band ‘Four On The Floor’ which, in 1994, evolved into one of Brisbane’s top duos ‘Take Two’. In 1998 he began working solo until joining duo ‘The Houndogz’ in 2000 which became ‘The Recyclables Duo’ in 2002 and “The Recyclables Show Trio’ in 2004. When he got the phone call from Graham in late 2005 he was only to happy to make the change and help revive the magic that was ‘Able Magwitch’

Graham - Drums/Percussion
Like many drummers Graham first began playing drums in his primary school band and followed this with a stint in his high school army cadet band. When he left high school to start work as a young lad, Graham spent a large amount of his first few pay packets for a short course of lessons with the legendary Harry Lebler. Graham was the founding member of the original 'Able Magwitch', a gutsy 3 piece band playing loud raunchy rock, which quickly gained a large following. Seeing the need to evolve the band Graham approached Dave to add keyboards to the sound followed by Lance who improved the vocal department of the band. Graham provided the driving beat behind the 'Able Magwitch' sound until the band imploded in 1980 then carried on for a while with the remnants of ‘Magwitch’ as ‘The Detonators’. While on holidays in England in 1982, he fell for a Scottish lass and hung up his sticks to marry and raise a family. He never sold his drums though and in 2004, after years of giving it a bash at home, he joined ‘Centreline’ through the Brisbane City Council sponsored Come Together programme. When this band folded in 2005, he wanted to continue rocking. He thought back to his good old ‘Able Magwitch’ days and decided to recruit his old mates.

Dave - Keyboards/Vocals
After a background of classical piano as a child, Dave started on the local music scene at the age of 17. He played with a couple of local bands including the popular 'Paranova' whose singer Judy went on to perform with 'Railroad Gin'. When he was recruited by Graham to join 'Able Magwitch' in 1973 his keyboards added another level to the punchy heavy rock sound of the mixture of original and popular rock numbers performed by the band. When Graham was looking to improve the vocal side of 'Able Magwitch' Dave was the one who suggested his good friend Lance could fill the roll. Dave continued to push the envelope on the keyboards until the break up in 1980 and then did a couple of gigs with the 'Detonators'. Sadly, David then decided to give performing away, he sold his gear and went into hiding. The rumours at the time said that he had joined a monastery but, luckily for us, these were totally untrue. David had gotten married and was raising a family. After persistant calls from Graham he shook off the cobwebs, spent a fair bit of the kids inheritance on equipment, and came out of a long retirement to once again tickle the ivories.

Gary - Lead Guitar/Vocals
Gary hails from Liverpool England, a city famous for two things. It was the home of ‘The Beatles’ and, in Gary’s words, the best damn football team in the world (Just ask to see his tattoo). He started playing as a young lad gaining extensive experience with several line-ups including ‘Special FX’. He then spent 5 years performing in just about every club in England with one of the UK’s top cabaret acts ‘Main Street’. Gary moved to Sydney in 1986 (he swears that he’s lost the accent) and continued to play with various bands and duos until he moved to the Gold Coast in 2007. He began looking for a great band to join and, luckily for us, he found ‘Able Magwitch’.

Michael - Bass Guitar/Vocals
Michael’s music career began on the Darling Downs, at the age of 15, where he played 60/40’s, cabaret and within a few years joined Top 40 covers outfit ‘Hot Prospect’. During this time the band supported many great artists including 'Australian Crawl', 'Wickety Wak', 'Russell Morris' and 'The Radiators'. They were selected to record an original song for the Toowoomba Carnival Of Flowers album 'Get The Spirit. Looking to get more involved in the music scene he moved to Brisbane in the late 80’s playing with classic rock band ‘The Likely Lads’ and B&S ball and party favourites ‘Aussie Mozzies’. In the early 90’s Michael joined ex 'Rusty And The Ayrs Rockets' guitarist Vic Kena to form the acclaimed 5 piece 'Commitments' style show band ‘City Limits’. This band played many venues in South East Queensland including support act for country music legend 'Keith Urban'. Other styles played include Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Latin and music of the Caribbean. Recently Michael was with popular club band ‘Days Gone By’. Michael says “I have found a group of passionate and talented musicians who can faithfully reproduce the classic 70’s sound”.
